This is an AE Williams Pewter Large 50 oz. Scottish Tappit Hen. A traditional Measure handcast from Pewter using Antique Bronze moulds. In 18th Century Scotland, Tappit Hens filled of mulled claret would be taken from the coaching inns to warm and sustain the passengers in the coach outside. You can fill it with the liquid of your choice and place it on your desk or on a table to keep your cup filled.
